Mosebach is proud to present its
Radiator Mounted Resistive RadBANK™.
RadBANK™ is a resistive, continuous duty,
forced-air-cooled load bank that
can be used to periodically test the
generator or to add additional load to
minimize diesel engine “wet stacking” problems, which is the primary cause
of premature diesel engine failures. RadBANK™ is intended to be mounted
directly to the engine radiator of the
generator set. It will use the engine’s
radiator air flow to cool the resistive
load elements, and it is intended for
use indoors or outdoors.
Each RadBANK™ is controlled from a
control box, conveniently located on
the side of the unit and placed in a
NEMA 3R enclosure with easy access
to RadBANK™ master ON/OFF switch,
airflow lamp and individual Load Step
ON/OFF switches.
All of our load banks are designed to
apply a selectable resistive load with
various power step resolutions to a
power source, manually or remotely.
The long operating life of resistors in
all of our load banks is achieved
through various Mosebach innovations
and extensive experience of over 80 years
in resistor design and construction.
Voltage: As required: 240, 480, 600V or
other.
Controls: Are conveniently placed in a
NEMA 3R enclosure with easy access to RadBANK™ master ON/OFF switch,
airflow lamp and individual Load Step
ON/OFF switches. Based on your
preference the control box can be
mounted in Mounting Position #1 or #2.
Control Power: Dependent on customer
requirements, typically 120V.
Resistive Load Elements: All of our
High-Power elements are made with
Mosebach’s WeldlessWeave™, a
technology that we have refined over
80 years of building and designing resistors for use in the toughest environments,
such as locomotives and giant
mining trucks. Our WeldlessWeave™
technology utilizes a continuous ribbon
to eliminate all welds. By eliminating welds,
hot spots are eliminated. In addition to
our WeldlessWeave™ technology,
Mosebach uses its Slimline™ innovation
to provide power resistance in even
smaller spaces. All of our elements are easily and individually replaceable. We
are so confident in our WeldlessWeave™
that we offer a 5-year warranty on all
resistive load elements.
Cooling: RadBANK™ will be directly
mounted to the engine radiator of the
generator set. It will use the engine’s
radiator air flow to cool the resistive
load elements.
RadBANK™ Models: Available in
standard sizes ranging from 10kW to
1000kW and up. Please contact us with your high capacity application
requirements!
Load Steps: Our standard load steps
are 90kW, 45kW, 25kW, 10kW and
5kW.
Frame Construction, Size and
Installation: The load bank structure
is constructed with a sturdy steelangle
frame. Each frame is fabricated
to fit the particular application.
Handling: Handling is provided by 2
heavy-duty lifting eyes.
Safety: Air pressure switch to detect
positive airflow, and fuses on the
main line. Branch circuit fusing is
optional.
Options: Louvers for added protection
against weather, remote controls and
metering, auto/manual control option,
auto-dump, and branch circuit fusing.
Warranty: One year for material
and workmanship. Five years for
resistor elements.
